Novita Therapeutics ("Novita") announced today the closing of a follow-on round of angel financing, bringing the total cash investment to $930,000 since the company's founding in November 2009.
In related news, Novita also announced the signing of an agreement with Cirtec Medical, Inc., for the design of a novel, implantable cardiovascular device. The device is intended to treat a chronic condition impacting more than 200,000 patients in the U.S., and will provide a new treatment option that will reduce morbidity and mortality for these patients, while also reducing the overall cost of their care.
